Winter? No. In Tampa, Florida, boating season is still in full swing. Not only are we graced by beautiful bays, crystal clear springs, and nationally ranked beaches nearby – we are lucky enough to be able to enjoy it all year-round. At Marina Pointe, residents will have stunning bay views and unrestricted access to Tampa Bay and the Gulf of Mexico. The private yacht harbor and state-of-the-art deep-water marina is complete with over 150 slips accommodating vessels from 40 to 90 feet in length.

Islands & Beaches

From your doorstep to the dock, our favorite boating destinations throughout the Tampa Bay area are less than an hour cruise from the private marina.

Shell Key – Shell Key Preserve is a beautiful 195-acre barrier island that is only accessible by boat. Boaters can pull right up to the island and explore the soft sands and wildlife while swimming in the blue waters and searching for a few shells.

Fort Desoto State Park – A mix of history and fun with over seven miles of waterfront and five interconnected islands. Fort Desoto offers floating docks to dock your boat and experience everything this 1,136-acre park has to offer.

Bunces Pass – At the mouth of Tampa Bay you will find plenty of sandbars to enjoy, with the most popular being Bunces Pass. This channel sits south of Shell Key and north of Fort Desoto and is a popular boating destination with beautiful waters.

Beer Can Island / Pine Key – Pine Key, more popularly known as Beer Can Island – is positioned in Tampa Bay just north of Apollo Beach. This privately owned island invites boaters to camp, enjoy the day, or indulge at the tiki bar.

Egmont Key – Primarily a wildlife refuge, this lush island offers pristine beaches and is located just at the mouth of Tampa Bay. Egmont Key island is only accessible by boat and allows you to explore historic ruins, snorkel in the blue waters, or maybe even spot a gopher tortoise wandering around.

Dining & Entertainment

There’s plenty of places to walk or drive to from Marina Pointe. But, if you dock your boat in our private marina, it is just as easy to walk down to your slip and cruise to these favorite boat-accessible destinations.

Hula Bay & Salt Shack – Just south of Marina Pointe, these two restaurants offer waterfront dining, live music, great drink specials and so much more!

Circles Waterfront Restaurant – Located at Lands End Marina in Apollo Beach, this restaurant has the best of both worlds with fine dining, or a more casual experience on the patio or at the tiki bar.

Armature Works – Spend some time enjoying the Riverwalk or enjoy a nice meal at one of the many local restaurants. Boaters are able to dock at the Heights Public Boat Docks at Armature Works at an hourly rate.

Downtown Tampa at The Sail Pavilion – Dock at The Sail Pavilion, enjoy a waterfront cocktail, and explore beautiful Downtown Tampa. If this doesn’t already sound like a perfect day, you can cap it off with an amazing meal at Jackson’s Bistro or American Social before boating back to your private marina.

Downtown St. Petersburg – Cruise the bay and enjoy all that Downtown St Petersburg has to offer by docking at Demens Landing. Head to the Dali Museum or the Mahaffey Theater to truly immerse yourself in the arts.
