Sunda New Asian Opening at Midtown Tampa
With an opening scheduled for late 2022, Sunda is a new Asian restaurant concept with two successful locations operating in Chicago and Nashville. The creative brainchild of Chicago restaurateur and media personality Billy Dec, Sunda’s cuisine is inspired by the fusion and intermingling of cultures in Southeastern Asia. Sunda will occupy 6,000 square feet of retail space near The Commons and will serve modernized versions of traditional Asian cuisine.

New York Street Style Comes to Hyde Park
Adding to an ever growing roster of upscale retail outposts, Hyde Park Village will soon welcome rag & bone to the neighborhood. The fashion label is known for its pairing of elegant British tailoring with an edgy, yet understated New York streetwear aesthetic. The outpost will be located next door to another new Hyde Park addition, Zimmermann.

Epicurean Hotel undergoing $21M Expansion
Fifty-one more guest rooms, a private lobby and new meeting and event spaces (including a rooftop terrace) are in the works for the boutique Epicurean Hotel. It’s all part of a $21-million expansion incorporating two historic apartment buildings directly across from the main hotel. Eight suites are expected to be popular among large groups. Construction could be completed by summer 2023.
Top Shelf Sports Lounge Opening Downtown
An elevated sports bar and scratch kitchen restaurant, Top Shelf, serves up local craft beers and signature dishes like the Ybor Eggroll out of its flagship location at AdventHealth Center Ice in Wesley Chapel. Set to launch in 2023, its second location will open on the ground floor of Truist Place. Top Shelf is a popular destination for watching sports games, happy hour deals and live events like trivia.
Westshore Welcomes Trendy Drink Shops
DRNK Coffee + Tea and QWENCH Juice Bar are among the newest additions to Marina Landings, adding to an expanding list of dining, retail and lifestyle options at Westshore Marina District. At fast-casual eatery and drinkery DRNK, visitors can enjoy handcrafted espresso beverages, coffees, teas, breakfast and bites, or head to QWENCH for raw squeezed-to-order juices, smoothies, acai bowls and light lunch items.
Shipping Container Park Arrives in Wesley Chapel
Located at The Grove in Wesley Chapel, Krate opened in June as an open-air shipping container park. An assortment of 55 boutique shops and unique restaurants include Yummy Tablas, Tasty Ramen, Palani’s Hawaii Noodles and Venezuelan concept Chamo Bites. Those of drinking age can sip beer and wine throughout Krate, which also houses an outdoor stage for entertainment and events, plus a children’s play area.
One Tampa to Become Tampa’s Tallest Building
The 630-foot-tall, 55-story high-rise condo project in development by Kotler Urban is set to surpass 100 N. Tampa as Tampa’s tallest building, the first to breach 600 feet on Florida’s West Coast. From the minds behind the market record-breaking One St. Petersburg and Hyde Park House, One Tampa is a multifamily development in the central business district, featuring 311 units, ground floor retail and dining options overlooking Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.
