We recently sat down with a few Marina Pointe owners to hear more about their journey so far, and how they feel about all the momentum at Marina Pointe and the Marina Landings Town Center.
“Vacation. Being on the water is like being on vacation every day. It’s a permanent vacation. It’s a lifestyle we get to live every single day,” say Ernie and Kathy, Marina Pointe owners and future residents.

Why Tampa Bay?
After living in Orlando and becoming empty nesters, Ernie and Kathy wanted to get back to the water and decided to explore the newer residence options in the growing, popular Tampa Bay area. “We chose Marina Pointe for its community, location, and convenience. It’s a destination location. Marina Pointe really does have something for everybody,” Ernie and Kathy explain.
What about the surrounding area?
The couple shared their excitement for the resort-style amenities including spaces they will use frequently, like the gym and stunning pool overlooking the bay. They are looking forward to being able to walk to the town center to pick up something from the local grocery or grab a cup of coffee before they take their morning walk together along the water.

How about living right ON the water with a private boat slip?
In addition to the range of amenities and community walkability, the couple is most thrilled with having the private marina just steps from their front door. Ernie and Kathy moved to Tampa while their new luxury residence is being built, and they are already immersing themselves in the boating lifestyle here. They cruise around Tampa Bay on their Cobalt 25sc’ from Tom George Yacht Group almost daily.
“We’ll bring our work with us on the boat.” They also love being able to cruise around, relax and listen to music. “My favorite part is just sitting in the front and just lounging while Ernie’s driving and just kind of flying over the water. That’s my absolute favorite part,” Kathy says.
