Tis the Season to Be Seaside
There’s nothing quite like a Tampa Bay area boat parade. This annual tradition on the water brings the community together with festive decorations and friendly competition. There are a few left to attend this year, but if you can’t make it out, there’s plenty of time to prepare for next year! Consider registering your boat to float in the parade or jumping on a neighbor’s and joining the festivities.
Tampa Holiday Lighted Boat Parade
The Tampa Holiday Lighted Boat Parade happens every year on the Saturday before Christmas. On Saturday, December 18, bring the family to Tampa Riverwalk and enjoy this festive tradition. Watch the water come to life as the parade of twinkling boats marches along the Hillsborough River. Or if you’d rather join the fun, get your decorations out and register your boat to sail in the parade! Judges will choose a first, second, and third-place winner to each receive a trophy.
Redington Beach and Indian Shores Holiday Boat Parade
On Sunday, December 19, brightly decorated boats will sail from the Tom Stuart Causeway to Caddy’s Pub Restaurant in Indian Shores. From yachts to canoes, you will see it all! After the parade, celebrations will commence at Caddy’s and top prize winners will receive their awards.
Boat Shows on the Horizon
St. Petersburg Power & Sailboat Show / Progressive Tampa Boat Show
The 44th annual St. Petersburg Power and Sailboat Show has just gotten bigger! Starting January 20 – January 23, the St. Petersburg show will merge with the Progressive Tampa Boat Show to create the largest boat exhibition on the Gulf Coast. From sailboats and fishing boats to powerboats and yachts, boat enthusiasts from all over the world will come to view this impressive lineup!
For three days in March, the Florida State Fairground will be home to the largest Tampa Bay area boating sales show. In attendance will be the best boat dealers and manufacturers in the area! From March 4 – 6, peruse cutting-edge boating and fishing supplies, learn from experts at the Seminar Series, and maybe even find yourself aboard your dream boat!
